Detection of invariants in probabilistic relations between events through exploratory behaviors

چکیده

Research has demonstrated that individuals are sensitive to contingent probabilistic relations between events in the environment. However, factors underlie this adaptation not fully understood. Thus, aim of study was assess whether repetitions and variations participants’ responses contributed detection invariance environments. In Experiment 1, participants were exposed initial final trajectories an arrow under probabilities 1.0, 0.9 0.8. first half session, arrows followed predominantly straight trajectories, but second they changed broken ones, or vice versa. 2, sessions began with no relation arrows’ (p= 0.5), 0.8 presented for trajectories. both experiments, as arrow’s became more changeable behavior increased, while constant increased. Results support notion entails exploratory behaviors performed detect invariant information

Anomaly Intrusion Detection Systems: Handling Temporal Relations Between Events

Lately, many approaches have been developed to discover computer abuse. Some of them use data mining techniques to discover anomalous behavior in audit trail, considering this behavior as an intrusive one. This paper discusses a temporal knowledge representation of users' behavior that is used by data mining tools to construct behavior patterns. These are used to decide whether current behavior...

Relations between Kauffman and Homfly satellite invariants

We extend a mod 2 relation between the Kauffman and Homfly polynomials, first observed by Rudolph in 1987, to the general Kauffman and Homfly satellite invariants.

Classifying Temporal Relations Between Events

This paper describes a fully automatic twostage machine learning architecture that learns temporal relations between pairs of events. The first stage learns the temporal attributes of single event descriptions, such as tense, grammatical aspect, and aspectual class. These imperfect guesses, combined with other linguistic features, are then used in a second stage to classify the temporal relatio...

The mediating role of caregiving behaviors in the relationship between object relations and marital intimacy

The aim of this study was to explain the mediating role of caring behaviors in the relationship between object relationships and marital intimacy. The method of the present study was correlational and the statistical population of this study was married women and men in Tehran who have been married for over two years. 400 people were selected by convenience sampling (200 females and 200 males) ...

Probabilistic Invariants for Probabilistic Machines

Abrial’s Generalised Substitution Language (GSL) [4] can be modified to operate on arithmetic expressions, rather than Boolean predicates, which allows it to be applied to probabilistic programs [13]. We add a new operator p⊕ to GSL, for probabilistic choice, and we get the probabilistic Generalised Substitution Language (pGSL): a smooth extension of GSL that includes random algorithms within i...
